Please read my slides before using the materials, so that you will know how to use them correctly. The slides can be found by placing your mouse arrow on "SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS" above and clicking "Cycles Info." That will explain how to use these materials to increase intelligibility.
The materials are organized by pattern, and there are black-and-white and color options for each page of cards. Each page contains a variety of words, so that each child (hopefully) can say at least two words. It is not necessary for a child to say all of the words.

Primary Patterns
Syllableness
For children who cannot combine syllables. They do not need to say all the sounds in the words, just hit two syllables.

Initial Singleton Consonants (singleton means not a consonant blend)
For children who delete initial stops and nasals. Think carefully about which sounds you choose, focusing on the sounds the child can say, even if it is hard work to get them to say it.

- If the child voices initial voiceless stops, do not use p, t, k.
- If the child fronts velar consonants, do not use k, g.
- If the child backs alveolar consonants, do not use d, t, n.
- If the child cannot say glides, do not use w.
